The captivating beauty of the rose is intricately woven with the invisible tendrils of scent, beckoning us to dive into the soul-full place of the heart. The delicate petals re-heart us to nurture our well-being and cultivate love both within and outside our self.
I am happy to share that the solid version of ROSA, the fifth perfume in my series celebrating the aromatic landscape of California is back in stock. To accompany this news I have written a new post over at Wandering the Wonderlandhere.
ROSA is a multi-dimensional blend of artistry, luxury, and nature. The elegant fragrance is perfect for when you want to feel refined and enveloped in the airy floral notes of a wild rose. The perfume is well-suited for those who love the earthy, natural scent of a real flower with a bit more complexity and character. This unguent has been orchestrated so that the notes feel like an experience.
Rosa is currently available in a violet glass round jar. A few compacts with the hand crochet pouches are available, please reach out via email if you desire one.

MYRRHOPHORE
Introducing Myrrhophore, a Mary Magdalene inspired ritual anointing oil. This is a special collaboration between Roxana Villa & Shiva Rose
Join an intimate circle of pilgrims for a unique experience in celebrating Mary Magdalene on her feast day, July 22nd at the historic Lamy Chapel in Santa Fe, NM.
Jennifer Butler returns once more to Santa Fe with a variety of events including "Walking the Way of Beauty" at the perfumery on Venus Day, July 18th at 5:30. The evening will begin with a ritual anointing of the Myrrhophore, a Mary Magdalene oil with creators Roxana Villa & Shiva Rose. As we center in the heart learn Roxana & Shiva will offer insights in the development of this upcoming new ritual perfume as attendees experience key essential oils used in the formulation, the creative process and much more. This is an opportunity to connect deeply into a remembrance of self and what Mary calls the vibration of True Care. Artist Greg Spalenka will share his beautiful illuminated image that accompanies the new fragrance.
Afterward, Jennifer will share insights into authentic personal style followed by a guided clothing exchange. Bring garments to giveaway and leave with the perfect items aligned for you!
I bow, acknowledge and offer gratitude, respect & love to Oghá P'o'oge, the land here that I call home and create on. The name comes from the Tewa people and means "white shell water place.". The first known ancestral people of the area were here in about 1050 to 1150, but abandoned it around 200 years before the Spanish arrived.
In 1610, Spanish governor Don Pedro de Peralta renamed the area Villa Real de la Santa Fé de San Francisco de Asís, which translates to "Royal Town of the Holy Faith of Saint Francis of Assisi". The name "Santa Fe" is Spanish for "Holy Faith".

Mary Magdalene The roses and the bees are leading me down a path to a hidden well, as the water gently bubbles up to the surface, whispered threads are revealed. I have been developing a scent for Mary Magdalene commissioned by Shiva Rose titled Myrrhophore. Weaving aromatic molecules that embody this divine feminine from our past is complex, feeling a bit like a quest supported by invisible guiding forces. It was in the 90's that I became interested in Mary Magdalene's story beyond what I...
