Fall in Santa Fe, New Mexico is my favorite time of the year. Harvests are bountiful, the golden vistas spectacular and the chill in the air highlights the piñon wood smoke note wafting from the earthen hue’d chimneys.
My first visit to Santa Fe was in the Autumn of the mid 80’s, the scent of piñon smoke was part of the seduction of this beautiful land.
The “smoke” note in perfume goes way back in ancient times, consider the roots of the word perfume -> per fumum, meaning “through smoke”.
Experience smoke notes in Figure 5: Bois and Q.
Wafting beauty from my heart to yours,

Enlightening!
“I thoroughly enjoyed Roxana's day long perfumery class. From the moment I stepped through the door of her gorgeous and fairy-like perfumery, I was transported to a world of creative scent exploration. Roxana's teaching style is highly progressive; she empowers her students to trust their instincts and become their own teachers, all the while giving extra guidance if needed. I highly recommend Roxana's class to anyone with a nose.”
